Oil change indicator on base 03

I just bought a 03 base model. I don't have access to the fancy DIC functions. I can just get to the odometer, trip and hourmeter. Does anyone know if the oil change message will show up?

It will. To reset, key in run position with engine off, floor gas 3x in five seconds, oil life reset will show on dash for 10 seconds.

i think all gms have the oil indicator now. no matter how base it is.
