1998 ranger timing marks

I need some help my ranger ,broke its timing belt, its a 2.5 I want to put belt on ,, but not sure which marks to use, cam shaft arow to arow or diamond to diomond on the other gear,, please help ,, Thanks Steve

I have the same question i am down to the belt now and won't take it off till i figure theis out thanks. If any one can help us soon it would be great.

I have done my SIL's '95 4 cyl a couple of times. Here's what I think:

The camshaft-to-crankshaft relationship is the only thing important, because the crankshaft sensor takes the place of the timing that was done on earlier models by the third gear wheel (i.e, the older engines had the distributor driven by that third gear wheel).

Tip: I always like to remove 4 spark plugs and turn the engine by hand, after mounting belt, .... just to make sure there is no interference. (That's being "anal", I know).
