I'm a new member, and I need help real bad. I have a 2000 Rodeo 2WD 6 cylender and has 99,975 miles on it. It has been in the mechanic for the last two weeks for the following problem. When it reaches normal temperture the Check Engine light and Reduce Power lights come on. The vehicle goes into a Safe Mode and don't go over 15 miles. Now the lights are constantly on. They have replaced numerous sensor and they have reset most of the setting. The vehicle droves fine for about 10 miles and the problem starter all over again. The last things that the mechanic told me was that the transmission mount was busted and needed repair. He thinks that this may be part of the problem.
Any suggestions it will be greatly appreciated. HELP

With the info provided, 2 possible candidates:
1) A problem with the throttle by wire system.
2) If the check engine light is flashing, you are misfiring which is most often caused by using the wrong spark plugs. USE ONLY Denso spark plugs in your 2000. Search the rodeo and trooper forums for other possibilities.

According to Auto Zone it shows P1125 (Fuel Air Meetering), P0463 (Fuel Sensor High Input) and P1285 (Fuel Air Metering). I just install new plugs and removed the battery post and the vehicle drove fine for about 25 miles. I'm back at square one. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your input. I had new plug, TPS, APS, and few other sensors installed. Todays I was told by Auto Zone about the following codes: P1125, P0463, and P1285 all related to fuel. Does this vehicle has a fuel sensor and where is located? Thanks again

Per this site: http://www.troublecodes.net/OBD2/Pcodes.shtml
P1125= Thottle position sensor intermittent.
PO463= Fuel Level sensor circuit low input
P1285= Cylinder head over temp sensed.
If you had your TPS replaced, something is not right. The fuel lvl sensor wont have any effect on performance. It will just cause your gas gauge to not work. I dunno abou the cyl head OT. Might be coolant or lean burn related.
