why?

i was running my 95 hard the other day and it has a bad alt in it and i noticed that once i hit about 3,500 rpms my batt light started to blink and my volts were lower. as soon as i brought it under 3,400 it went away and my volts were fine. could this be resulting in less power to spark to make the engine profrom worse at those rpms? i know i need a new alt but i wanted to know it would effect it or not.

Why are you asking this?

Install a new Alt.
