Whelp, here is the new daily driver. Its a 2003 Chrysler PT Crusier Limited Edition ( every option besides the turbo, convertable, and spoiler. ) It was handed down to me from my grandparents who do not want to own 2 vehicles anymore. So over the past month i've been in the Sunshine state ( florida) helping them move into their new house. In return i got the car for the help and a early graduation present from college. Onto the pics which i also just bought a digital cam ( woo hoo, let the photo post whoring to begin) and they are night shots of me playing around with the functions. So some are crappy.....

Oh yea... the car has never seen a winter and has only 21,700 miles on it, and i don't owe a dime on her.

.... and the sad part is i am only 19, which mean my insurance is very high. So my parents which still have controll of a few things on me and the car insurance is 1 of them. Said i have to get rid of one of the cars. So i had a very hard decision to make on which car to keep.... Brand new car, or one with 58,900 miles on it. So i thought long and hard on this one..... This is what i chose...

... oh the suspense....

Hmmm... i wonder what is under there??

HA HA... me get rid of my pride and joy? No Fuckin way! So she will be off the road sept 1st where she will remain off the road for a year or so to do some major work on her. The shop has a car trailor so it can be transported to and from for when her heart goes under the knife.

Sweet man. Thats really tight. I almost ended up with a PT Cruiser too. My dad was selling his old truck to a guy who's wife had two of them and we almost took one as a trade. Good luck with working on your Cavy!

Thank god you went with the Cavy! I absolutely hate PT Cruisers.

personally i would have sold both...thats a pretty big chunk of change for the both...could use that money to buy / put a nice down payment on a sweet ride....or update the cavy if you could replace all the aftermarket stuff with the original from the first cavy and swap it into the newer one...cuz then you could either go 03 ^ or Z24 (and if you really want the 4 door, look for the 02 4 door Z24)...but good choice on the pride and joy tho...for me it wouldnt matter what brand a vehicle is...if you love the car and want to make it a project car...go for it..and if thats the car you want to work on CRJ make sure its badass enough that it'll bring home a trophy cuz if your gonna do it...might as well do it right

Get ready for the poor gas mileage on the PT.Most never see above 23 mpg.The car/truck weighs over 3000 lbs and as such it gets worse mileage than the Neon from which its based.

^^^ Tell me about it. The damn thing weights 3121 lbs and she is a pig. I've noticed a difference. I think i am going to get an intake or atleast a K&N air filter for her. Because this sucks ass...

If GM had kept the Cavalier wagon going, maybe they could have turned it into a PT-class contender..,or even a crossover/SUV alternative.Too late though, they will never know if they could of....

I think I owe about $3800 on mine. Damn thing should be paid off by now

So you parents decided to let you keep it huh? I bet insurance will be expensive on it.

They said i couldn't have 2 cars on their insurance. So i am taking the cavy off the road and just keeping the PT Crusier on the road. The cavy for a year for full coverage was $1390.. 2 years ago it was 1,700. So yea i am glad its slowly going down. I figure the insurance for the crusier will put me at $1500 a year. Right now its on the policy as a luxory vehicle and for the whole year its $700 somthing. So yea.... Now my 99 will have some sick low miles for the year now. Right now she's at 58,956 miles.

MY 2000 Cavy has around 69,000 miles and is paid off. I wish I could buy a different vehicle and store my cavy through the winter and work on it as much as i'd like to.

I've seen them before.... there was one at the sport compact and truck show in my home town. It was tricked out and was suppose to be a delivery truck for some buisness, but i forgot which one but it had a 454 big block in its trunk for delivery.
