C6 vette nearing completion...progress pics

i agree, but I don't really like the rims color..

Those rims would look sick on a yellow car. Not too sure about that color though. Maybe it's just my monitor but it's hard to tell what color it is. Is it a copper?

It's probably supposed to be Sunset Orange, but it looks like the paint was laid on heavily and the panel lines have shallowed out. Still a great looking color though.

Its appg paitn called sunbird orange metallic. ya it went on too heavy and i didnt wnat to strip it.....building models is a learning experience, not as good as half the guys on here. I went with the black on the rims becuase the chrome in my opinion is to overpowering. thanks for all the comments. You all will be seeing better paint on my next 2 kits. a 2 tone 87 grand national. and my sublime green 69 superbee.

It's a beautiful color, just a few too many coats, but it's a learning experience as you said. I myself am finally getting timiya sparys to go on at just the right amount in one coat and have stunning results from it. In fact, I just sprayed my 3000gt last night, and I put just a titch too much in a few places and had a little bit of a run. But, whatever.

Last nite I sprayed my grand national with its basecoat of metallic grey....looks good i almost want to keep it that colour. But it will look hot with the 2 toned ble and grey....pics to come soon, after i spend alot of time taping off the body for the blue....not looking forward to that
