Sonnax route?

Just returned from our mechanic after he installed a rebuilt 4L60e.
Went through the the time and effort to do the Sonnax update but it only made it worse. (My opinon) So I'll sell the reamers and recoup some of my money.
When I did pick it up he told the trans had been out before he didn't know why. It doesn't matter know. It had 146000 on it so I shouldn't complain. Its a 4.3 and even without OD was getting around 20 mpgs.
And with gas around 2.70 per gallon I'll shut up.
Now it runs around 1500 rpms at 60 MPH.
