I have taken my car to my mechanic and they said i need to go to a transmission shop due to a internal transmission code of PO753/Shift Solenoid. Would this by chance be causing the clicking noise I hear behind my glove box and it is expensive to fix? trying to see if i should bother putting more money into this 1998 Blazer or move on... :)

I have not had this problem with my 98 yet, But from what I have read in this forum, The Shift Solenoid is an very easy and inexpensive fix. (most guys replace these themselves when they go bad) Not sure about the clicking noise behind the glovebox. There is plenty of life still left in your truck. A transmission fluid exchange with filter, and a new Shift Solenoid installed and your truck should be good as new. Get a Price from a good trustworthy transmission shop or two... How many miles your blazer?

Go get your transmission fluid changed and your tranny filter replaced.
