I am posting this in general, because i don't know where else to post it. Anyways, I went to start my car today and nothing happened. No dash lights came on or anything. I am thinking it's a dead battery, but i didn't leave my lights on. If anybody has any idea or help it would be appreciated. I hope it is a cheap fix.

I had a similar problem with another car of mine. if the car won't start with a jump, try and arc the starter with a screwdriver. If nothing happens the solonoid is bad (of course check the battery first and make sure it has a charge.) On my car it turned out the solonoid just called it quits over night. And the way that it got messed up also drained the battery over night. Hope you trace it down.

And if it won't start when you put the screwdriver to the starter, hit the starter with a hammer really hard. The reasoning behind this is some of the wires get stuck together or you have a bad spot on your starter, and you need to break them apart. It's kind of tight to get in there, but I was able to. Once your car is started get it to your mechanic because you can only hit it a couple of times before that won't work anymore.
