window motor wiring headache

alright i'm stuck and need help i have an 87 full size blazer passenger side window does not work,however it is not the motor as i have removed it and tried it on driverside wiring. it is a two wire plug(brown and blue),test light lights up like it should on each wire btu the brown wire i get no ground when the blue is hot. also new switch installed to no avail :banghead: :banghead:


any ideas??????

Replace the window switch on the passenger door..

tried that, thats one of the first things i did because the old one was beatup

well, you said the window would go down if the driver's side switched was used to put the passenger side window down.

That means that the passenger switch is probably still not hooked up properly.

what i meant to say was i removed the motor and took it over to the drivers side and connected the drivers side window wires the switch on the drivers side does not operate the pass window

so you are saying the window motor will not work with either switch.

If so , I think you know what the problem is.

ok lets start over i messed this all up first drivers side has a bank of 2 switches drvr&pass drivers side window works pass does not i took the motor out of the pass side brought it over to the left side of the car disconected the drivers side window motor and used those wires to test the motor with the drivers side window switch,driver window. the motor had full range of motion so that ruled out bad motor.
replaced the pass switch,nothing. so i started checking wire which brought me to my first post,brown wire not switching to ground when blue is hot any thoughts on what would cause that?
