95 v-8 tbird tranny problem

the transmission has been having this problem since I bought the car, but no one can tell me what it is. When I dont give it enough gas, it will shudder real bad, and I have to let off and give it more power. Mainly does it on hills and on the interstate.

Does this occur while it's shifting from 2-3 and/or from 3-4?

probably dirty passages in trans body or valve body. change fluid (dont forget that ford converters have drain plugs in them and when servicing the converter holds the most fluid-about 8 qts) and filter and use mercon v fluid shudder will most likely go away
