recently i was driving down the highway my civic started makin a clicking noise like a valve i took the valve cover off and everything under there apeared to be normal the noise isnt constantly there just every now and then at 2500 rpm what could it be

what does it sound like?

first thing i would do is check to make sure you timing is still good
