Could be a valve cover gasket, oil pressure sender unit, or even lower intake valley gasket leaking. If its leaking on the header, or, exhaust manifold, I would be looking at the valve cover gasket.

ok i tried the valve cover gasket but it is still leaking it seems ok at normal driving speed 0-45 but once i get off the expressway it smokes like hell (and when i park it at it smokes usaually within 5 min it drips like crazy leaves a puddle under the truck)im starting to wonder itf it might be trans fluid (the color of the fluid is a dirty redish brown not red enough to be fresh trans fluid but not dark enough to be old oil)some one at work said it might be the trans fluid cooler line leaking what do you think
buy the way sorry about the super long posts

It could very well be. If you tranny is overheating, it will come up the tranny tube, and out on the passenger side of the engine, since thats where the tube runs ends. To find out whether it is tranny fluid, check the level of your fluids, both tranny and engine oil, if one is real low, chances are thats what leaking.

Sounds like the transmission is overheating or it is overfilled causing oil to come up the tranny dipstick and push out.

Yeah, my blazer did the same exact thing after i bought it. I think the dealers overfill the tranny fluid, anyway, it comes out the breather tube right next to your translock (where the dipstick is) there is usually a square sponge that was designed to catch that stuff but when it really gets cookin' the sponge won't be able to absorb it all. I eventually got mine serviced by a transmision specialist and i ended up having to change a couple ?cylinoids? and everything ran awsome with no more boil-overs. The mechanic also told me that too little fluid will cause the trans to boil-over as well, however what is happening with your truck is a very common issue with the jimmies and blazers, my friends did the same thing too. i would recomend getting it down to your mechanic but anything that has to do with a trans usually costs a lotta dough, oh well, good luck!

Check to see if your transmission is getting hot. It will come out the blowout on the trans dipstick and it will look like you are on fire. It leaks down on the manifold - make lots smoke!
