power window shot...

I have an 88 Laredo. My passenger side power window is shot,. I think I need a new drive gear. I can not find any place other than the Jeep dealers who have the parts and it will cost about 300 for partsd and approx 65 for labor (this at a regualr garage). Any suggestion, The window is stuck in the DOWN position, :(
