If it truly is the factory system, I would suspect you have a flakey door ajar switch. The switch is located in the latch assembly, so you either have to replace the latch or clean it. I suggest spraying electrical contact cleaner into the door latch area and working the latch a few times. Some people use WD-40, but in my mind that is a short term fix. WD-40 is not a contact cleaner, and contains a lubricant which will collect dust and dirt and gunk, likly gum up, and only last a short time.
I don't believe that the factory alarm system has a shock sensor, only door, hood, and trunk pin switches. It is part of the Generic Electronic Module (GEM). If you have the remote keypad, you will also have a Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) module for the keypad.
I would bet that a door pin switch is your problem though.

Oh, as far as the key fob/remote range issue -- this might just be due to a weak battery in the key fob. Do you have an extra fob you can try? Is the range any better?
I did read a post where someone replaced the battery in their fob and they had to reprogram the remote for the car to accept it again. The reprogramming directions are in the owner's manual.
