A "Bug" Toon

Looking at all of Lemorris' great VW stuff gave me this idea for a little toon...

Thanks, I had even thought about putting eye lashes on the pink new Beetle, but....

Jimi00--tooning, for me, is all about taking a realistic shape and exaggerating it,
but still keeping a balance to the overall proportions.
The best advise I can give is practice, practice, practice... and study the work of others.
I've got several books on Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, with lots of great example of his artwork.
George Trosley also has a great site, Trosley CAR-toons (http://www.georgetrosley.com/)
That's just a few references.

Also Kartoonz and Lemorris both have lots of great "eyecandy" toon work to look at.
That's how I got the idea for this toon.
