Throttle Cable on an '87 F-150

Hey, I let my buddy borrow my truck, took it upon himself to go muddin', had to tow the truck home, I'm pretty sure the throttle cable popped off, no book on the truck though, can someone tell me where to locate the cable at? Or better yet anyone have a site i could go to to get a diagram? Thanks
