more aggressive cams, full headerback exhaust, cold air intake, ported stock head- or new head. you'll be there

Look at steedafocus.com, or focussport.com for the head...you will be spending quite a bit of money on that though. There's an endless number of companies for exhaust however; do you have a price limit for the exhaust?

not really i just want a good exhaust and a deep tone not anyhting like these civics around me that sound like there is raddling bolts in there mufflers... i want something that i can make into a duel exhaust cuz i have the evo back bumper witch has 2 spots for exhaust so i wanna have 2 exhaust tips

a local shop said he could make me exhaust for 150 i just have to buy the mufflers ... do yo think that is good? he has a pipe bender and can make the pipes for me or should i just buy it from a co.?

You won't find a reputible company (none that I know of at least) making a dual exhaust kit for the Focus. $150 is a pretty good deal, though you probably get the performance out of it compared to a real exhaust system. What size pipe/material is he using for $150?

im not sure on what tip i am getting he said i just have to buy 2 tips and he'll do the piping.... i have no clue what type of piping it is but it must be good because everyone around here that gets exhaust gets it from there so it must be good cuz i never hear any complaints....

i know focussport has an exhaust system for the focus and on the site it says that it won't have that "rice burner" sound to it, so you could try there...

i have a 96 ford contour with duel exhaust with 2.5 inch pipe and to fart connons and it sounds like a V8 at idle and at higher rpm it sounds really good and very smooth but i have a 2.5 V6 and i had a exhaust shop do mine for 75 dollars and with just the one cat and two sport muffle tips

Forget the duel exhaust. That is a total waste. You have plenty of options.
Focus Sport
Magnaflow
Borla
Bassani
Bosal
Get something that has 2.25/2.50 inch pipe and you are set. Focus sport is a good choice.

i'm curious about this sorta thing to (i have a 130 hp Zetec as well) except i'm not asking what i need for the power that i want i have all my parts picked out already: a crower stage 1 cam, (well 2 one exhaust one intake) it's mild cam but i don't want to do head work, and it is daily driven so i don't want to sacrifice the bottom end power i'm also looking at the AEM short ram intake (we tend to have water and slush for a good part of the spring here and i don't wanna be picking up any water in the intake) and also a #1 stainless header (4-2-1) (part number Part Number: 251+2713) and a magna flow 2.25" cat back exhaust mainly because i hear that magnaflow is good at keeping the noise level down, i want somthing thats not too loud but is aggressive when i'm on it and quiet when i'm on the freeway/highway and i also was looking for one of those engine computers whener you just plug it in and it retunes the ECU but i'm having trouble finding one, and i also don't know if the header will fit the exhause i chose i havent found anything yet that says if it does or dosent, and i'll also probally put some nice plugs in and some plug wires to help with the responsiveness of the motor, but I think thats about all that i plan to do, and i was curious as to about how much power this would yeild i was looking for about 150+ so hopefully this works out thanks for your input guys, i appricate it

Also with those mods, is it going to cause poblems with the stock clutch? Will the stock holding capacity be enough? I tend to have a "spirited" driving style, i'm not hard on my vehicles, but i'm not terribly nice ether

mr_tw: your looking for an SCT turner, its just plug in a chip and go

Stock ford clutches are horrible i would go with a spec stage 2 or a Centerforce.

SCT do you have a website for that? and for the clutch with a stage 2 would I loose the nice streetable feel and low effort of the stock clutch, and wouldnet a stage 2 be overkill for 150 hp?

i found the sct tuner, but i still have some q's about it, i see that you can change it from program to program at anytime, but where is that switch going to be located? it looks like it's right on part of the chip itself, so were would that be located?

where ever you wanna put it, I dont have one myself

stage 2 is fine for 150hp

when i say 150 hp, i just mean like a solid 20 hp gain over stock, 20 flywheel hp,not 150 to the ground lol

I have the magnaflow on my 02 sounds like garbage (unless you like the ricer sound) tearing it of and putting a borla, sounds much better on my friend's focus.
