probably the idmax's or the brahma's, but your gonna need a lot power to get these moving. they cost in the range of $300-$450.

how many subs do you want? how much power are you looking for? is the 1g just for amp/sub? SQ or SPL? any size in particular? here are some of the subs i would get
Digital Design 9512d
Digital Design 9515d
Crystal CMPx2 12"/15"
IDMAX
Audiobahn ALUM15X
Kicker 12/15L7
Cerwin Vega Stroker 12"/15"/18"
JL audio W7 10"/12"/13"
Rockford Fosgate Power HX2
Lightning audio Storm
MA Audio Synergy
Alpine Type R
Eclipse titanium series
and more but can't think right now
the amps i would go with to power any of these subs (except the alpine Type R) are
JBL 1200.1
DEI 1100d
MTX 81000D
Cadence A7HC
Orion HCCA
Rockford Fosgate bd1500.1
Autotek MX-1300
i'm sure there are more, but we need details...

unfortunately, there is no "best sub" ...... they are ALL engineered with compromises of one sort or another. Additionally, the box, it's orientation (direction the sub faces), and the car it is in also play a major role in a subs volume and sound quality.
