Tranny mount problems

I needed to replace my tranny mount. I looked in every parts store and dealership in my area but they all gave me the wrong type mount. I finally had to order one from Summit. The problem is I need a bolt that goes in the center of the mount connecting the mount to the cross member. The orginal bolt has a larger washer on it so I have to find a bolt and washer. I asked Summit and they said that GM would have to make me one. I've been to all the junk yards and salvage yards in my area and no luck. They don't produce that part anymore. Can someone help me out.

Year, model, engine size and transmission type please..

91 Chevy Caprice 350 it use to be a police car so what ever type tranny that is. I don't know what size the tranny is though.

You might try one of the 9C1 forums that are on Yahoo and elsewhere. I know the Yahoo one has links to hard to find parts. The tranny in your car is not the 700R4, so the parts are not the same as regular passenger cars. You might try a taxi or limo garage, maybe they have a junker you can buy some parts off of.

Your trans is the 4l60 or 700r4. The 4l60e models came out in 94. You should be able to find a trans mount for it at just about any parts store I would think.

Do the new mounts that you have purchased not have the right sized bolt or is there some other problem.

The parts store didn't even carry the right tranny mount for my car. I got a totally different mount on my caprice than the ones in the parts store. I don't know of any limo or taxi companies here that use chevy caprices as one of their models. The whole problem is the new mount I got from summit came with two bolts. Those two bolts bolt through the mount into the tranny, but there is a third bolt on my that goes through the cross member into the tranny mount. That is the bolt I need. The mount didn't come with that bolt. Summit says they don't offer that bolt, I would have to contact GM to get one made for me. I was hoping someone in here could give me another option than trying to get GM to make me a bolt?

Wait a minute. So you just need the single bolt that goes through the trans mount and thru the x-crossmember. Is that the problem?
