Hi to all again and THANK YOU for the comments.
The paint I used (year 2001) was a nitro spray Piaggio Purple-Blue intended for the scooters, don't ask me the code. Brand name Talken (Italian). Since these colors are for the automotive industry I primed the body with grey automotive primer, over the color I sprayed two heavy coat of Talken alkyd clear. Polishing process consisted in a treatment with automotive wax (after 2000 grit wet sanding), further treat with Amway Silicone Glaze and final touch with the spectacular Tamiya Modeling Wax.
To be honest must be said that, since the 911 was built in 5 days, the painting didn't have the time to cure, so today is not so brilliant !
Nowadays I'm using for the first polishing step a scratch remover (normally more aggressive than the conventional wax) from Arexons (it's call Rimuovi Graffi) with outstanding results. I guess his competitors are producing something similar.
Not visible in the picture, the model is more purple than blue.
Bye: Roberto :)

Very sharp, clean build and a beautiful color and finish. It looks very much like Porsche's Lapis Blue.
