Horn Not Working

Hello,

I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Am with the 3400 motor. I recently replaced the blinker and windshield washer unit to fix my previously non-functioning blinker problem. Now my blinkers work, but the problem I have now is that my horn does not function. Is there anyone that could tell me how the horn works, what makes it sound, is there a switch or which wire I would have to look at. Also any other suggestions would be great.

Thank You

The horn and the wipers arent on the same circut. the horn has a relay and or fuse. you can test the horn by puting a +pos charge to where green or dark Green wire is and the other to a/the ground somewhere. If the horn works, the fuse/relays are good its in the wire circut somewhere. Did you have the steering wheel off, the wires in there connect the horn switch.hope this helps u out.

Thank you for the information. I never had the steering wheel off. All that was taken off was the cover around the streering column and the blinker/whiper assembly.

Thanks again.

Try pushing hard on the steering wheel to get the horn to work, and as you do that turn the wheel. If he horn works and then doesnt work you might have a bad clock spring.
