Is that one of those company that give you a credit card number to bill it to after you submit a estimate?

NO,
well, when we got the car, they sold us warranty too.. 5 years engine and transmission warranty. they told us, if you have any problem, just take the car to any autosave place or whatever adn they will fix it. and they gave us 2 piece of paper.. that is all know..

Erdal, out of curiousity did you buy your Firebird used from a GM dealer or one of those second tier used car dealers? What did they charge you for the warranty?
I've heard of a product called Autosave which in reality is some kind of engine and tranny additive program for 5 years or 100,000 miles under the guise of extended warranty. Supposedly, you have to take the car to their authorized oil change places. If you have a problem with your engine or tranny while using Autosave they cover certain repairs.
Sound pretty dubious to me but I could be wrong.

hi bnaylor3400,
yes you are right about autosave... l bought the car from a used car dealer. l saw it on automart.com and then l went and l got it. firs they wanted to charge me $1000 for that warranty. but my wife is working for ford and she knows everything about these stuffs and she said. that warrany isn't worth $1000 and they didn't accept.. we got the car finally and we went back to home.. and l wanted to check their web pages.. and the car was $1500 cheaper than what we paid. and l got crazy and it was late but l didnt car and l called the guys cell phone and let them know, but they said.. web site company made mistakes. and then l checked autotrader.com, and it was different price too. even different than which we paid and their web sites. and we went bakc and we made nearly $1000 discount.. they wrote check to us and they gave back $1000 to us. but we still think that they made on us at least $1500. we payed for warranty around 400 bucks.. but we are not sure if the autosave is a good, trustable company..
thank you..

Sorry to hear you went through so much hassle. If I'm not mis-taken I believe you paid $400 for some kind of engine and tranny additive program under that questionable extended warranty deal.
Maybe you and your wife should go back to the used car dealer and get a refund on that too. It doesn't sound good. Have her yell at them...lol.
There are good people and bad people always looking for ways to make money off you or run a scam. Be careful even in the good ole USA.
Here's the 3 that I distrust the most:
used car salespeople/dealers
new car salespeople/dealers and
lawyers

I really don't know how they will handle a repair. Here's that link again below:

I think you can send them an email.
Oh, on the "Mustang Killer", that's my track nickname given to me by fellow Pontiac drag racers out at the local dragstrip. We play head games with the Mustang GTs, Cobras and SVT Cobras. They are afraid to run the WS6 guys in our crew but think I'm a pushover. Its a real sleeper. Not bad considering its only got a 231 c.i.d V6. Made a lot of money out at the track.
You're welcome and Nice chatting. Later,
Bob
