spraying PPG. need help

looking for anyone who has had experience spraying ppg through an airbrush. Im painting a 69 mach 1 and 69 gt500 in acapulco blue. It is PPG. I purchased a touch up bottle for 8 bucks. Im pretty sure it is thinned somewhat with hardener already add? What consistency should I be shooting for? I dont have same brand reducer, I've got lacquer thinner, will this be ok?

I've used lacquer thinner in PPG with no problems. The paint has to be pretty thin because PPG likes to "cake" up in the airbrush.

You could go to autozone and buy a gallon of duplicolor reducer if you want to use that instead, its 15$

I'd be real careful about using non-same brand reducer. 'Laquer tinner', especially the generic stuff from the hardware store, could be any formulation. It's cheap, and may not matter much, until you ruin the last layer of paint because it bubbles. Sure, you may be able to get it to work, but using the right stuff is easier than stripping....

I've successfully thinned PPG with generic lacquer thinner. Basecoat, not touch up paint though. Same as everything in our hobby give it a test run. If it works, great. If not, try something else. Just make sure you use something expendable for testing! :)

test? not sure of the meaning of the word. lol. I gave it another go yesterday. Thinned it to about 1:1 and it was still a tad thick but it went down ok.
