Please help guys!!! For a while my turn signals would turn on then after a few flashes go out while sitting at a stop light. Then they would only work every now and then. Now they have quit all together. I have tried to replace the combo turn switch on the steering column. That did nothing (now I have one for sale $50 plus shipping). I checked all the fuses and replaced the one or two that was bad, but that still did not fix my problem. I got underneath trace all the wires from front to back to the box under the hood, all ground wires look good. Stuck my head up under the dash check all the connections they look good. Thought about the flasher but all the other lights work fine my hazards work. When I pulled the flasher out(green box) my hazards go out. So if the flasher works the hazards then it should work the turn signals? The flasher wouldn't be half good would it?? My Durango is a 1999, 4x4. Thanks Matt Please Help

Hi, my 1999 durango turn signals did EXACTLY the same thing.
Turn signals worked intermittantly, then totally stopped working.
Hazard flashers worked fine.
My dealership tried to talk me into replacing the column switch too, but I opted to talk to a different mechanic. The flasher relay is one
unit (small green box under the dash) but it has 2 sets of relays
inside. One side controls the turn signal flashers, the other side
controls the hazard. Which is why your turn signals failed but
hazard flashers worked. Replace that relay, hopefully it will fix
your problem. It did fix mine... :-)

you guys have a aftermarket security system on your vehicle. That ended up being my problem. The after market system was grounding out my flasher. So I had the system removed and bought a new flasher. Now everything is GREAT!!!! Matt
