Depends on the car.

My Mustang, killer on both.

The GEO, cheap, cheap, cheap.

I'll say gas though.

I'm gonna go with gas too. At least insurance companies use lube before they fuck you in the ass.

insure atleast you get somthing out of gas 99% of time you never use insure and when you do they fight you so you spend even more money to get what service they should offer to start then they charge you more .

Insurance.. atleast on gas it will do something. but insurance.. meh.. with the amount of money that goes to insurance a year, I could probably afford a way better car and pay for whatever damage gets done to it.

Insurance seems to be going down for me. Less than $1000 / year.

Insurance is only expensive for kids and people with crappy driving records. The cost of gas is only bad for people with no extra room in their budget. For me, my car getting dirty is much worse than either of the above.

hmm, i spend about 3400 a year for insurance (fully insured truck). About 60-70 a week on gas which is between 3120/3640 a year. So i would say im gettin double teamed by them.

Spend about 3K a year on insurance (everything from collision down to glass) and about $50 a week in gas(thats if I'm not driving all over the fucking place) Insurance sucks because you have to have it and then as soon as you use it they raise your premiums. So in theory if you don't have a claim you should get some of your money back. It is such a racket that it is almost as bad as tow-truck companies. A year ago I hit a guardrail trying to avoid another accident, the other guy took off, so instead of calling the cops and having to pay for the guard rail i left too. When I went to get a quote on repairing the damage the body-shop wanted like $1600. My collision deductable is $1000. So I would have ended up paying more by the time I went through the insurance company becuase they would've jacked up my premium by like $500-$1000. Just fixed it myself for like a little under $1000. Peace-

hmmm lets see..
237 a month for insurance as oppose to
80-90 a month for gas (42 avg every two weeks). One is way inflated (just like that ladys' breast in 240NIZ's avatar).

Actually just checked and my insurance actually has gone down too. last year it was 1590 and now its 1368 for a 6 month policy. I still think its too much even for NYC. But I can't complain with the lizard (geico), they have treated me good and fast whenever I was involved in an accident.

TS out

Honestly insurance agents are all scumbags. I've changed my policy like 3 different times and I still pay rediculous amounts. I've never had a ticket, never been involved in an accident (that they know about at least) taken deffensive driving courses and still pay about 3k a year. I really hate all the statistics involved in the rates. Like how atuomatically if you're a woman you have cheaper rates than a man if all variables are the same. And how if you're under 25 and a man you automatically get a higher rate than the same man over 25. Or how if you get married then they drop your rates. Fraud is also a big thing, it happens all the time and hardly anyone gets busted for it. I'm just pissed off because I have a perfect driving record and how I pay more than other people who have shitty records. Peace-

The gecko quoted me double my current rate just because I have a speeding ticket. USAA owns geico.

I vote gas for sure.
You can shop elsewhere for cheaper insurance rates. The damn oil tycoons got ya' by the short and curlies....

hmmm...

$67/mo insurance for full coverage (Liberty Mutual)

i work in Chapel Hill and take the bus....so i won't include the $16/wk i pay for that...we average about $50 a week in gas for the whole family...

so it equals out to:

$804/yr for insurance and $2600/yr for gas excluding weekend trips and what not...but i pay about $832/yr for my bus pass

I pay $180.00 CDN per month insurance for 2 vehicles and about $60.00 CDN per week for gas for 2 vehicles

so..... that works out to $180.00 for insurance & $240.00 for gas ... per month

GAS !!!!!

You know why fraud happens they piss people off beyond breaking points

They cause id say atleast 1/3 of the fraud if not more.

ding your bumper you might as well smash your door in too. I've never done this or supported it but I almost sympatize for those who do.

Yes there are just shady people who do it to start but they bring alot on their on.

Pretty much the same for me. As well as my 330/month for my car.

It cost me 50$ to fill up my tank last week.... at least insurance I forget about, but gas kills me every week. So they both suck.
