OT but good news for the modelling!

My girlfriend and i have decided to have a baby! ive wanted to do this for some time but my past makes it difficult. ive been married before and it was crap, she (my ex) married me for bad reasons, and i married her for worse reasons... to have a kid :rolleyes: . well i vowed not to have kids unless i could do it out of wedlock... and my Sarah finally agreed. sorry but i dont want to go through a nasty divorce and have to involve children. Sarah makes a good bit more money then i do so i dont want to have that pressure. i think we will get married but i dont want that money issue over our head much less the childs. i also come from a divorced family and i saw how these things happen. we are great friends and lovers but should she or i get a great opportunity i dont want it to be limited by marriage. i know this sounds odd but its a very good thing for both of us. we are happy together but we have different views of comfort. anyhow, shes not preg yet but it will mean to us a bigger house and (once again) a dedicated hobby room! we would both make great parents and hopefully it will work but we are getting older and times ticking. im a very happy man! the hobby room is just an added bonus;)

i personally would like to wait for marriage, but that's me, and this is your life, so i will just go and be happy with you and your girlfriend :smile: . congrats!

thanks again all! please believe me when i say we are in love. but i do historical renovation work and she works for an in-demand modern architect firm. our destinies could very well pull us apart. i want to move to Australia and she wants to move to NYC (been there, done that :lol: ).
please dont take this the wrong way... we will get married but we want to make sure our careers coincide with each other. weve been together 5+ years.... i think we know what we are doing... i hope :tongue:

Congrats, I wish you all the best, anyways kids are great at moddeling, i remember when i was 3 or 4 and when my dad would help me paint and put it together, i loved it alot.

Congrats Freakmech to you and your fiancee. Hope your life turns out the way you wish. Not want to put a downer on it but I think kids will have a serious impact on your modelling. However, family are more important than modelling so who cares. Njoy the, err, creating, err, of a 1:4!! :)

Get on with it and make your best model, little copy of you ;)
Of course there will be no time for modeling now, I know I was makeing some 10 models per year before and now I make maybe three but it will get better when kid gets older.
