The Matchup! - 1997 Jeep Cherokee SPORT vs. Dontcarewhatyear Volvo Wagon
The vovlo was driven by my friend . . .eh, guy i know from school. This kid crashed his Talon(esi, automatic) over a median, through a rod iron fence, over a tree and into a backyard after catching about 2 feet of air at 40 MPH.
The Jeep driven by ME!
I pulled up next to him after seeing him drive past the walmart I was just leaving. This idiot squeels his tires (as much as he can, mind you) and cuts people off at every opportunity so I figured I would mess around with him. Whether or not it was smart to encourage his stupid behavior, I figured i would give it a go.
The light turns green, and let me tell you, I neutra-bombed it from like 800 RPM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pushed the accelerator to the FLOOR as my 190 HP Jeep LEAPED OFF THE LINE! Instantly I pulled half a car length on him, but he seemed to be lagging behind so I let off . . .realizing the stupidity of the whole situation. But then, he starts coming up on me! I mashed the gas again and . . .listened to the car do all the shifting and work for me.
Shut that shit down at 75 with 2 carlengths on him! In the end I felt more stupid than anything, but it was fun :) Thought I would share my first kick assssssssssssssssssssss STREET RACIN ADVENTURE WITH YOU ALL!
Edit: Oh yes I almost forgot, I was laughing about it with him the next day, but he just looked at me and told me he lost becuase his subs weigh down his car now. :)

You MUST enjoy REBUILDING your TRANSMISSION often by DOING neutral DROPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Except, 800rpm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is about idle on one of those Jeeps. So you didn't harm anything. You'd actually would of been faster had you powerbraked it.

ewww redneck ate his eye....well i think most people's first street racing stories are stupid...like mine....1986 buick century custom with 2.5L four cylinder vs. 1993 chevy corsico four cylinder......it doesn't matter who won....but two 19 second cars racing is not a pretty sight....
