1996 dummy brake light is on

My in dash brake light (not ABS) started coming on while traveling in the mountains. As soon as I would depress the brakes and almost stop the light would go off. Now when I start up in the mornings the light is on untill I depress untill almost stop. Help!!
I have ABS brakes but it is the red "brake light" that is lit up not the blue ABS light.

How's your fluid? Parking brake work all right?

I'm thinking either the parking brake sensor/connection or the fluid level sensor/connections. Check those.
