oh ok, yeah. s.b 0-4? I know the 8's are at 0*. a;; I can say is make sure you have teh ecm ref. wire off and set it by ear, 12 may be a bit much?

I would say 6 to 8 on a carbed car.

i set mine as close to 10(what the decal on hood says) as i could get it, what would a 6-8 do performance wise?

It depends on the condition of the engine too. And some
prefer to do it with a vacuum gage. I would say go really advanced and then when you hear ping going under heavy load back it up a couple degrese. But 10 should be ok to. Just play with it so it has more power better drivability and doesnt bog. First make sure yor carb adj is good,no vacuum leacks, etc.

I had a prob with my 87 2.8 camaro's timing.. it is suppose to be set to 10 degrees.. But also dont forget to unplug the timing sensor when doing so.

But also dont forget to unplug the timing sensor(im not sure if thats what it is called but it is located by the firewall. If standing in front of the car looking at the engine.. it will be on the left side. Mine was inside a black heat-protected tubing.) when doing so.
