Windshield Wipers

Hi, I'm going to repaint my friend's Windshield wiper arms black. I need help in taking them off. Is there a clip other than the nut underneath the plastic cap? Sorry, I'm new BTW.

i can be kind of tricky just because you have to pull it off perfectly straight. its on splines right... so if you dont pull straight up it wont come off.
