You don't know me, but be scared

Hey everyone!
I am da carman.
I have been a pretty active member on AF some long time ago, then I haven't been on here for several months. Now I am back better and sweeter.
Here's my problem.
Today, I visited AF for the first time for past several months. When I clicked on view new posts, A WHOLE bunch of them were from this G20 forum....thats all cool... but you guys really need to start spreading your evil roots outside this "room" - try the kitchen and second floor, there's a lot of fun waiting;)
Take Primera Man and i_rebel for example, I tried to read as many posts as possible today, have to read like 25,000 more :p
I see they're active both here as well as the kitchen and the 2nd floor.:rolleyes:
So, comon you all!
Aren't you guys interested in other cars as well? I sure am! I like all cars. Also, have you heard that AF is featured in septmeber issue of SCC?? Isn't that awesome?!?! So comon, lets make AF the biggest, most popular, most interesting, and the most fun auto forum on the web! If you all would post outside G20 forums, I bet we can make this site even sweeter.

carman, welcome back. I am one of the new people here, in fact I have not seen a post from you here ever, so I'm that new.

Most of us are here for the mayor interest of OUR car. At least that is my case. I have found a lot of information here regarding the G20/Primera, that otherwise, I don't think would be easy to find.
I think primera man, b00gie and others "active posters" here, are one of the main source of information for most of us.
And yes, we only post in G20, because we use this to share/find info about our little machines.:silly2:
I like to read about other cars, but, not allways have time to read every other forum on AF, and I think that's the same for others.

RCer, first you say that you are not scared of me, and then you say you don't have time to read other forums :cry:

How about just some interesting threads maybe? :D

So, if any of you do have extra minutes, help AF grow even further, and do check out some of the threads outside G20. :coolguy:

I try and visit the other forums sometimes, maybe once a week...

the G20 forum just keeps me so busy lol.. we have a lot of posts everyday and I have a lot of input and some questions myself. :)

You won't find a topic about new g20 body kits in a mustang forum

I think the point was... they want people to come together and appreciate cars in general and be able to talk about any car, not just G20's... ;)

He, and I am sure many people including myself, would be happy to see you G20 enthusiasts posting in other places as well from time to time. We can all contribute to the message board and teach/learn many things here.
This is just a thing you could do if you want to, no one's being forced or anything, so no worries ;)

I am very happy to see the G20 forums becoming such a success in themselves, imagine how it would have been if Jason and I never chose to do this:cool:

That's my other car. And there is not much to say there.

How can you get people to "come" to the forums?? Do exactly as you have done with G20.net

People search on the web for sites on info about cars, contact them, and try to get them to include a link to the AF site. That will increase the people here.

I think anyone who loves cars should have a open mind and like all cars and not just the one they have at the moment.

I think everyone has there own tastes of whats hot and whats not...thats what makes us all different.

One of the main reasons i got out of the drag racing scene was the hate between Ford and Chev owners. It was that bad people would have fights after a few beers:rolleyes: :rolleyes: .....this is the type of shit that i cant handle.....you encourge anyone and try and give them the best advice you can with out really knocking there ride....unless THEY WANT to know and can handle it.

I like to post around and check all the other sights and pick up bits of info as you never know when it may come in hand.

Jason/Igor, whose idea was it to "join the powers"? Just curious how it started.

This is how it started for me (if anyone cares...): one day I was browsing G20.net to see if there were any updates (:)), and what do you know, the only one was the link to this forum. It was so small and ... "cosy" :) So I decided to stick around...

I offered Jason the partnership, and he gladly accepted.

So we were both happy :)

Hey Primera man, I allways try to be as opend mind as possible, but I have been to other forums and they are doing the same we are doing here, talking about OURS cars, the one we have, the ones we own, and trying to get parts (as we are) and information (as we are). So, what are I'm going to do in an Acura forum (just an example)???? Notting. So, yes, AF is great, and I am very very happy that G20.net has put the link to this place (that's how i found it), but we need to look in somewere else to make it bigger. We need more people to know AF exist, and the quality of info we can get here.
If SCC has include AF in next month issue, that will be great for all us. I'm sure we will see a change here sooon.

Igor and Jason, congrats, this is the place where I spend most of the my online time now, and I have found a lot of things (parts and information) thanks to AF.:xelicon:

Its always going to be hard to get people away from the thread they are in and post else where. Maybe its just time....have not got enough ???
There are a lot that come here and only post once and that's it....these are the ones that need to keep coming back to see what a cool place this really is.
A good way is to get people along to car shows etc and advertise though banners on cars, number plates etc etc.

We have to remember too, that it is still a new place and it will take time to grow.

Huh? I don't mind read up on some other cars' forum but the truth is, there are always plenty of stereotype of people around.

They would not accept the ugly truth that their expensive autombiles are not the best.

Example: which domestic pony owners can accept that modern engine like SR20DET can kick serious butt! Last, G20 forum is too much fun to be around with. Third, what I have learnt on my G20 aka Primera, I want to pass along to the people who owned G20s. Anyway, people who can appreciate G20 aka Primera are special bunch of people, so special that we are facing extinction!:p
