boost guage

i have purchased a pricol boost guage and i was wondering if anybody would know of were to point me to find a diagram on were about it mounts to the turbo (the pvc hose that is) the guage is in the car but im not certain were exactly the hose goes and dont ant to hurt anything if i put it on the wrong spot

Pricol? They don't make a boost/vacc gauge do they, only a boost gauge I thought? Anyway, the best and easiest place to tap is on the back of the plenum (theres only one, you can't miss it). Just cut the hose coming off, insert a T fitting and run the gauge hose to that. You will probably have to drill a small hole in the firewall somewhere to run the line through, don't forget to put a rubber grommet into that hole.

why is so important to put the grommet in thanks i found out were and ist now in i found out im only running 5 pound and thats all and i thought it was quick nowe plan on running 9 pound on the stock headgastket and head bolts thanks for ya help

Thanks man, I know alittle bit about this and that. It's important to put the grommet in because the metal hole will eventually cut into the hose going through the firewall, so you need something between them. If it's at all possable, you should look into getting a better boost gauge. Something with vacc and boost for sure, it comes in very handy for diagnosing leaks and other engine/turbo troubles. How do you plan on raising the boost, with an MBC? If you don't have any other mods I would suggest you hold off until you get them. A full 3" exhaust and intake will raise boost, as well as some other mods.

ok cool i have a boost controller but i have not played with it yet i want to do the head gasket and also head bolts first but a 3inch exhaust and what do you recomend on the intaker side of things should i just go a pod filter or full intake system
