I have never found anybody who makes a performance distributor for the Mazda Trucks. The stock distributor has a magnetic pickup and doesn't wear out very often. If someone did make one it would probably cost close to $400. My testing on an ignition scope showed a good set of low resistance wires and an aftermarket coil provides quite a boost to the stock system. Anything above that you pretty much need to gut the entire system and build one from scratch with a MSD module or Jacobs ignition or something.
If you go for the wires and coil, don,t get accel one or the other will fail within 2 years most likely. Also for each one increase your plug gap by .005" so if you install both performance wires and a coil bump the gap up .010" or to about .045". If you don't do this the system doesn't use enough energy during spark and when the transistor in the dist turns on the excess voltage will spike the coil and decrease its life drastically.
