okay, last week my subs and amp was working. until earlier saturday morning it stopped working. I thought it was the fuse, but the fuse is okay. thought the amp is blown, but nope cause i tried my brothers amp and its not working. can someone give me some info on maybe whats wrong. could it be the grounding is bad? the radio and cd is working, but just the amp wont kick on. however i unhooked the positive wire from the amp, and tapped on the amp and theres no spark coming, usually a spark will flicker when the positive wire hits the amp connector. so I dont know whats wrong, checked all my wirings and all, what i really dont want to do is take it into a shop and ask them to check and rewire everything. thanks...

did you check under the hood to see if the amp power wire is till secure? Which fuse did you check? The amp fuse or the power fuse usually found under the hood? Make sure to check both. If you have a multimeter or have access to one, you might want to check to see if theres power.

it's not your amp, cause if it was then your brother's amp would have worked, it's your wiring or a fuse somewhere, check everything.

Hes right, im guessing if its not the ground or pos wire then its your remote turn on. It may have fell out of the hole and you just forgot to put it back in on your bros amp. Try that and if thats not it just re wire it.

i checked my wirings and all, they are still intact, what other fuse should i look at? i checked the one on my amp wire, my amp, and my headunit. also i checked in the fuse box under the hood. still doesnt work. so yesterday i asked this guy at best buy, and i dunno if he is correct or just ignorant, he said my headunit was fried and that i should go buy a new headunit, so he was showing me some new ones. i was like if its fried then how come i can still play my cds and radio. i just think theres a blown fuse somewhere i dont know or my wirings are bad. like i said, the remote wire from my amp fell off last week where it was connected to the harness behind my hu. this really sucks cause i hate listening to jus my speakers, need the subs back on...

It has to be your ground. If the wire doesn't spark when you touch the power wire to the connector, then the circuit isn't complete. You say your power wire is ok, so it must be your ground. Even with the remote turn-on, it'll still spark.
BTW, don't listen to Best Buy guys, they're just there to make commission.

I was gonna say the same. Check the remote on the amp, and on the HU. Maybe you wanna check the RCs too...Or the power wire fuse, but I think you said you checked those, lol I dunno i didnt read.

thanks everyone for helping. after 2 hrs in the heat, tracing down wires and testing fuses and all, finally got my subs and amp working. i figured it was my remote wire running from my amp to a 12v wire. i just relayed another 12v wire and there it goes. yeah, those bb guys are pretty darn jack a$$. trying to sell me a new hu, saying my hu was fried. one of my friends asked them about installing some stuff, and they said that his car would be there for about 3 days, i was whatever, theyll mess up your car. bb is okay for me, but not in audio stuff. but anyways, thank you everyone who tried to help me.
