Hey everyone, this is my first post so please no flaming on me please. Anyways i just bought a 96 hatch with a B18C1 and i'm getting many CEL's with it. When i first bought it, it had the OBD1 ecu in it, but because of smog issue's i had to convert to OBD2. Somehow i passed but now i'm getting code's like mad. I've been searching threads and have not come up with any solutions so hopefully someone out there can help me out. I'll just ask a few of the one's that bother me the most at the moment as i'm getting the feeling this will be a long project of mine
P0118 - Engine Coolent Temp Circuit high input <--where is that located anyways??
P1106 - Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor circuit range/performance problem
P1121 - Throttle position sensor lower than expected (wtf?)
The only engine mods the guy said he did was a Skunk2 IM, Skunk2 TB (if'y in my book)and a DC header (probably wouldn't matter, but you might want to know). Any and ALL help will be greatly appreciated :) Also, for these engine/electrical questions, would it be better to ask in the integra section? Thanks again!!

I'm going to guess the b18 is supposed to be OBD1, if that's the case, when you changed up to OBD2, did you change everything? Sensors included? ECU? etc etc? That may sound like a dumb question, but, lots of folks think the ECU is all you need to switch.
Plus with the intake manifold and TB with the header, what's the fuel management doing? Is there a cat? If you do have the right sensors in there (b18c OBD2), they would read those codes because of the upgraded hardware which is producing a way different engine atmosphere than those sensors or ECU are wanting to read.
check your stuff to make sure your whole system is the right stuff the whole way through. you may even look into a FMS to make sure you're getting the right mixture with the intake and TB.
(and yes, I would post in the 'teg section or the Technical forum as well - some of those folks are serious gearheads)

sorry, forgot to add that it came out of a 2000 integra. it had all the obd2 sensors and everything, he just used a obd2->obd1 harness and an obd1 ecu. only thing i really had to do was get an O2 sensor welded in only because the cat the guy put on there has the bung shooting straight down, so the first speed bump i'd go over it would snap right off. all the fuel stuff seems to be fine, its just these sensors. i just need to know where they are and how i would check to make sure they're working right. i think it could just be wireing problems because the guy was an idiot when it came to that kinda stuff (which i've fixed the most i could). i don't know if this would help... but it idle's at about 2grand which i've been told could be from timing being way off, could this be throwing those codes for some reason??thanks for the help

I don't suspect the timing would throw those codes. maybe the temp code, but not the pressure and throttle codes...those scream sensor to me.
you've got the O2 on the cat, the PCV on the intake pipe, the map on the back of the intake mani, and then that's where I lose my ability to help you.
you can tell if they are fouled if they are giving those codes. are you able to talk to a technician without having to pay $65/hour?
aside from recognizing a potential problem, it sounds like this one is out of my league.
sorry I couldn't be of more help.

exactly which ecu are you using? curious, no codes with the obd1 swap? why was it needed to run an obd1 ecu swap in the first place. what ecu was that? i would like to inquirer previous mods to it. if you dont know, i would suggest calling the previous owner concerning this. i personally would like to know if any other wiring was hacked when he had it. actually, before i bought the car, i would have asked for its entire past mods before buying ;)
P0118 - Engine Coolent Temp Circuit high input <--where is that located anyways??
located in the head. very small, check near dizzy. pull it out and check continuity from the beggining of the wire to the end of the connector pin on the ecu connector.
P1106 - Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor circuit range/performance problem
i experienced this code with the vafc. also have seen it with the greddy blue box. relating the vafc and blue box to the p1106, i find common wires that they both share (4 injectors, 2 map, hot, ground, and rpm). i notice these codes are gone when switching to uberdata or hondata, because the use for these wires to hack are gone. i suspect that the blue box and vafc puts out a little higher voltage reading than normal, which would be enough to trigger the p1106. with this code, i would be concerned with previous mods, or mods on there you dont know about. get a voltage reading and start from there.
P1121 - Throttle position sensor lower than expected (wtf?)
perform a voltage check to see if it is operating correctly. Ive personally damaged two TPS sensors during swaps.
if you are throwing other codes, what are they. they may be related to one another. also you said the guy was an idiot concerning wiring and that you fixed it? may i ask what wiring you are talking about? some details would be nice ;)

well the ecu that is in there is a P72. written on the top is "96-98 OBD2A GSR" so i'm pretty sure it's the right one i need. i think the guy wanted to chip the ECU for more power and as we all know the OBD2 ecu's can't do that. He did say he had a VAFC hooked up but the only evidence of that are the taped up wires near the ECU. and don't worry, they all match up to the right wires. unfortunatly the guy would not return any phone calls after buying the car, as he "promised" to deliver a new bumper for the damaged one thats on the car right now so contacting him would be useless.
As for the engine coolent sensor, is it the one with the one wire going to it? i took it off and there was just a nipple coming out of the block. The wire seems to go all the way to the ECU so maybe it just wasn't pushed in enough?
How exactly do you do a voltage test on the TPS? i've searched and couldn't find anything on it. i did test the voltage from the connector that plugs into the TPS and it came out as the following
5.11v ->yellow w/ white stripe
0.05v ->red w/ blue stripe (middle wire)
0.03v ->green wire
Could the connector sliding on and off easily be causing the CEL code? i took a closer look at it today and there seems to be a chip off of the TPS where the connector slides on. would i have to replace the TPS just for something like that?
for other code's that are being thrown there was a "P0123 - Throttle/petal position sensor/switch A circuit high input" which would probably be related to the P1121? i also had a "P0453- fuel tank pressure sensor" that i fixed by tricking the ECU using this website http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/code91.htm . And that wiring issue was only the guy doing quick, crappy tape jobs on wires in the engine bay. It was more like he was trying to go quick to just get it done, so i just re-taped nicely or soldered those i could.
