XM radio Question...

Alright I just got my Receiver and my antenna for XM... I installed everything and it seems to be working, I get the Preview Channel... but i don't get any sound on the preview channel... am I supposed to ? or Did I get a Dud of a receiver (bought used)
any one know... channel 001

You're supposed to have audio on channel 001, with a subscription or not. Double check your connections. And welcome to the wonderful world of XM :)

You should get sound on channel 001 not sure what kind of set up you have. But if is FM modulated make sure of the channel. If it direct you may check you RCAs. But by far XM is better than sirius I have had both you never get a fade with XM they have both terstrial and sat receiving.

I have an IP bus system From Pioneer. and I know it works because I had my changer hoooked up to it before. gonna see if I can get it repaired... hopefully I can.

So your using the AI-NET controller?
Do you get the text scrolling accross the screen?
So far so good on sirius, there is a little fade out, but that's only when i go into parkades, garages, ect. I thought it would be worse, but i guess their canadian signal is just as strong :naughty:
