Hope Someone Can Help! Engine Will Crank Over But It Will Not
Start. I Checked The Fuses Under The Hood And Found That The
Fuses For The Ecu & The Injectors Do Not Have Any Current
Going To Them. Where Do They Get Their Current From & What
Color Is The Power Wire For These Fuses?
Thanks In Advance,
Mike

You will likely need to get a manual with a good electrical diagram. http://www.alldatadiy.com has good stuff for my other vehicles. I haven't looked for stuff for my Sonata. Anyway, you may have another blown fuse, or possibly a bad ignition switch.

All data is a good place, but you would need to pay for the subscription, I would suggest you go to Hyundai Webtech (http://www.hmaservice.com/webtech/default.asp), just sign up and look up the diagrams for your model.

I would like to resume this post. I have a 2000 with 66k on it. It ran fine, but needed a new battery. I replaced it, and it has not started since. It cranks fine, and I removed fuel line off of the rail, cranked it, and it shot gas several feet. I then checked, and it is not getting spark. ANY IDEAS?????:banghead:

Any ideas yet? I did get a crank position sensor code, so I replaced the crank position sensor, still it only cranks, no fire, and the code still shows up after I erase it. ?????????????????

Balance shaft belt grooves are gone, need a new "bowtie" (can't remember the real name) it sits behind the timing belt, crankshaft gear

Did you check the timing belt? Remove the top cover, and see the condition of the timing components.

My 01 Sonata is expiriencing the exact same problem at the top of the thread! Engine suddenly died, cranks fine, wont turn on...cant figure out the problem. This seems to be common with these cars..Anyone here find a solution for this?
