i have a 94 1.9l auto wgn 130k. When parked for any length of time then started the car revs to just over 2000rpm and slowly drops back down. When its still warm and started, just like normal, up to 1100 and right back to idle. could it be a dying iac or something else??

thanks

not to sure to be honest. I recently purchased the car from a dealer about 3.5 months ago, theres warranty but just powertrain. I would hope they preformed a tuneup when they were saftying/emmissions testing. Since i bought it i've changed the oil and the air filter.

Yes Sounds Just Like An Idle Air Control Valve Issue. Make Sure When You Replace It To Get The Calibration Number Off The Old One And Always Replace With Oem Part.

theres nothing wrong with your car, dont waste any money doing anything to it. every single car you will ever own will do this. when you engine is cold is idles higher until it gets to normal operating temperature, where you motor needs to be, then it drops back down since it doesnt need to heat up anymore.....your cars fine.
