Hey everyone, well i was thinking of restoring my engine i have now! It only has 91,000 miles on it and it still runs. I want to replace just about everything in it. And make it push alot of Horsepower at least 400+ it's a small block 350 i got a holley carb. Basicly the only thing i noticed that was good. Headers very rusted, basicly everything is.
I need to know, whats the best/performance exhaust system, headers, carb, air filter, cam, to get for my 1970 Chevelle SS, and where to get it at. I rather ask other people opinions and experiances before just buying random aftermarket parts all different brands and junk!
Suspension (performance) whereabouts would be nice also. I plan on restoring the car to brand new and i want it to have excellant handling and no leaning while turning and junk. Please anything would help my situation, please reply with your info thx alot.

These sites are online catalogs. The first site is a Chevy dealer. They sell engine packages to rebuild your block or the whole crate engine.
The other two sites have it all. Send for a catalog and get on their mailing list for specials.
Think about the way you will use your car the majority of the time. Call them direct they will answer a lot of your questions.

Since your engine is ok now I would do the drive train first. Poly bushings, control arms, sway bars, disk brakes, poly motor and trans mounts, shift kit, trans cooler...

I'm not big on headers for street cars, you might in fact lose power with the wrong set on the car. Check out something out of the Chevy parts book or this guy (in Michican I believe) named Brezninski who does performance upgrades on stock Chevy intakes and exhaust manifolds. He does a lot of work for the stock car crowd where parts must appear stock. I've used his parts and they WORK.
