Well i special orderd the TPs and i got here so i installed it. and the car ran even worse, so we adjusted it and it ran about the same as the old one so i dont know what else to check for? sould i take off my exauset so that it just comes out of the exhaust manifold and drive it so i would know if it is a plugged cat or is there a better way to do it? Im also trying to get this done as cheaply as possible because i have very limited funds. any help or sugestions would be great.

The TPS is easy to test on the car and doesn't require adjustment if it hasn't been moved. It is easy enough to disconnect the exhaust at the front of the cat and test drive and it won't cost you anything but time. Use penetrating oil and avoid getting cut on the heat shields. The symptoms of a restricted exhaust are low power and slow acceleration. Stepping harder on the accelerator will feel like you have less power. As you release the accelerator you will feel a surge of power if you have a restricted exhaust.
