Can someone post up pics on how a s14 should be grounded because my new one i cant get a good ground on it and the ground wires look different then the ones that were on my old s14. can someone post up a diagram or pics of where the ground wires are supposed to be grounded to. THanks

Ground it to a large chassis bolt. Test resistance using a multimeter. Should be <1ohmk. Sand all contact points well too. Expose bare metal.

thats right , althought it should not read 1 ohm it should read continuity

There is always some resistance. Electricty, water, air, anything. Always some energy lost.

once you connect it put voltmeter leads from the chassis next to where the bolt is(but not on the actual connection) to the pos terminal. you should get about .2 V less than battery voltage. any more of a drop than that says bad connection

and it could have been grounded to the battery tray if the tray is metal and directly connected to the body. my car has the neg cable bolted on the batt. tray, then to the frame

the chassis and the block and the head should all be grounded through the chassis then to the neg terminal.
