I recently purchased this 97 Jimmy SLT 4X4 and have found that the front-end is producing this aweful squeaking noise. It doesn't seem to be the shocks/struts. It only happens when the vehicle rocks side-to-side. A friend of mine said to lubricate the "a-frame", which I sprayed lubricant on with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start chasing this SQUEAK down!!? It's driving me crazy! :-)

Lube everything (balljoints, tie rods, etc) If that doesn't work it's most likely the upper control arm bushings. Look for cracks or dryrot in the rubber edges.. Spraying those won't help if that's the problem.

take a look at your sway bar in the front each side should have about six fiber bushing if they are missing then that is what's causing the squeaking...

Get your your grease gun and grease these. Will take about 5 pumps of grease each. Do it every oil change.

What grease is everyone using for these fittings? I was thinking Schaffers but what works good?
