Jetta Gauge problem

I just bought a 94 1.8L Jetta got a great deal but the gauges don't work (TACH,SPEEDOMETER,GAS AND OIL TEMP) i've been through the the electrical system breifly but can't find any problem, Checked the fuses nothing
p.s the clock still works
Has any body had this problem

I have a 95 jetta that had the same problem, i had to change the cluster panel. i just found one at a junk yard for about $60 but if you want a new one its about $220
