ECP light

I know I'll have to get this checked out at the dealer soon, but I was wondering if anyone has any idea what the problem is, and if it's going to cost me a small fortune for me to fix!!!!!
1. A few months ago, the lights behind the heating unit went out. No big deal - I let it slide.
2. A few days ago, the radio won't turn on. Sometimes it will come on in SAFE mode. But mostly nothing -- I figure, bad fuse, will get it looked at soon.
3. A few days ago, (around the same time as the radio), it's become more and more difficult to get my car out of park. It's like the car doesn't realize that my foot is on the brake, and that's it ok to go into drive.
4. Tonight, ECP light goes on and car will not come out park at all. Stuck now in the Walmart parking lot...ugh.

1. There are several threads in here on ho to replace the bulb, fairly easy.
2. Certain year radios have a high internal failure rate, not uncommon. Sometimes unplugging will reset then, but problem usually recurs.
3. Check that your brake lights are working, the brake pedal switch is common to fail.
4. You'll need to have the codes scanned. A basic scan can be done by most of the larger parts store chains for free. Post the retrieved codes.
