i just registered as i wanted to make a statement that alot of people here make alot of arguments about and even try to get in verbal confrontations about. the matter of skylines in the US. i am 30 years old definently not a kid and i currently have 2 skylines in the US 1 is a r33 the other is a r34 i am finishing up. these cars were not that difficult to aquire as i do have friends in japan as i am prior military and i know a parts importer. true i know now that you are not suppose to do this and that these are not federally legal but bottom line is i have 2 and not only do i have 2 but one has the temporary tag on it from the DMV right now becouse i have just had it inspected and will be getting a florida title and it will be for the VIN thats on the vehicle not for a kit car or for some other mickey mouse way of doing it. i simply went to the DMV told them what i did and read the paperwork they gave me, had the title translated by a translater had that notorized had a recipt for all parts i used to assemble it got a copy of the parts, importers license and paid the taxes on what i purchased to assemble it and it was done. this is the secret! this is what alot of people evolution imports to be exact was doing as i went to there facility and saw how they did them. made mental notes then did my research. i have declared value specialty insurance on the car for $25,000 and thats it. as far as the state of florida is concerned i am done and met all ther requirements to a T. now will this work in your state i have no idea i do know for a fact as i have helped others title in SC GA and FL so these are the only ones i can validate. if you have emmisions or state inspections then you may run into trouble with this. but i am not concerned with going to jail or someone coming after an end user of imported parts. i really only take it to shows actaully hauled it until this point. and me and my wife drive it occasionally. i did not post this as to make the forum gods come out becouse i can already imagine the replys to this over the next few days and i dont care at all. i go to the australian forums for info as they are very curtious and informative in the skylines. seems like american forums are bashing sessions waiting to happen. so i avoid them now. i posted this as i love my car and i was in alot of you guys shoes wishing and hoping and wondering until i did a little research and took a chance on paying for something i had no idea if i could get or not that ended up being a good experience for me. i can get as many as i want but i do not abuse this gift. but yes it is possible to get rolling chassis and parts and its up to the end consumer if there dream is worth the hassle or not. to the guys that have the motorex cars i envy you becouse at the time i did not have the money to do what you did and now that i do there no longer here so this was my solution. i hope everyone well in there search for there car of their dreams

I agree... This is all fine and dandy, but please provide some pictures of the cars, titles, VIN's, etc.
I'm pretty interested here.

the first 4 or 5 are of my car white r33 when i got it out of the container, it took a few months to get the next few containers to assemble it as the importer only imports parts and does it 100% correct as parts! and this was the first time i has ever done this. i bought the parts over a few containers and took them home and reassembled it now i am making it look good, "paint" and upgrading it. the next 4 i believe its 4 is of the r34 with a rb25det neo 6 it suffered a little damage as the container load shifted "they always do" so i had to do some work and have finally just got the motor in the last shipment. i am still waiting on a hood and some new headlights i purchased. the black r33 is one i bought "my new baby and she is nice" and these are the pics my guy sent me from japan after he got it from the auction right outside of tokyo i believe. the white r33 " 1 pic sorry" which is very quick according to him, and he talked me into purchasing is as well. the last pick is of the way they shipped them to me. its a nightmare to get the one hanging down without hurting it or bending them up as it takes a fork lift and there is no suspension or tires on them. hope you like the pics and again i did not come here to start a conflict or forum battle i just love these cars and did alot of homework with my local DMV on the matter and made a decision on what was told to me. again this may not be the best idea for everyone or impossible according to your local DMV, luckily i have a friend that works there that helped educate me and get the proper paperwork i just new it had to be possible as i watch alot of the pilots from other countrys bring over there cars while there here for training or on loan as they sometime do, for whatever reason they would do it. so i figured if they can do it i can figure it out, and i am nobody just someone that made some contacts and did some research and took a chance.
