srange engine noise

i have a 1999 blymouth breeze 2.4L, at around 1700 rpms the engine makes a noise that almosts sounds like a grinding noise, but it only makes this noise at that rpm. any ideas about what it could be?

Bad motor mount? Need more info.

Listen to the motor if you can to try and determine where the sound is comming from. My guess at this tim eis the water pump may have failing bearings. The fins in the pump then scrape against the engine block making a squeal/grinding sound.
