don't know if this falls under performence but i'm doing a conversion to my old automatic ( c heres the story i've always been fond of the 95-99 body style of the eclipse and have always wanted one ever sence i road in a 96 gsx back when it was bran new so a few months ago i pick up an old body from the junk yard the body was in gret shape and so was the interior. so picked it up for $300 after that my friends and me jerked out the interior then i bought electic blue carpet then a j-spec 4g63 edge down pipe projecter head lights and blow off valv kit.)
but my qustion is where can i get the whole shifter with out the stick and a clutch pedal and all the well just a list of all that i will need to change it to 5spd.

The 5 speed conversion is a pain in the ass....quite costly and time consuming. Not worth it for the money, time, frustration, and the slight advantage it does give you could be achieved much easier with a few bolt ons that would cost much less. (I looked into it for about 2 hours, and said fuck this). Do a search, I'm positive it has been covered.

I'm going to do it on my talon wen i get the new engine in. There is a parts list on vfaq.com. Try getting used parts from dsmtrader.com, mitsubishigraveyard.com, or even ebay. It will be hard but in my opinion it's definetly worth it my gst is stock but it's manual and i love to drive it, it's almost as fun as my talon was :crying:

I've helped someone do this swap, and I agree. It took months, and it will nickel and dime you to death. Hardly worth it. But certainly possible.

If my car was stock and running i'd probably sell it and find a 5spd but it's not stock nor running and i'm swapping engines. I also have a friend with an awd race trans off a 10 second car and he'll give it to me for $200. I'm sure it will be a pain in the ass and i'll try to take lots of pics, i'm also gonna paint my car during this process so i'm expecting it to be out for at least 3 months.
