Open Headers

Would i gain or lose power if i ran my 1980 Camaro Z28 (carbureted, no computers, no sensors) with open edelbrock headers? thanx

street or strip???

street - its not worth the cost of hearing aids and traffic violation tickets

strip - youd loose a little torque and gain a bit of horsepower.

I lost a TON of power running mine open headers. Of course, I have a VERY picky computer.

My friend last year got a 89 Mustang with a 5.4 in it, he had open headers on it and thought he was the shit, hell he was even saying that he had something around 400-500 HP, I was like "..right.." well anyways.. I will say the Stang was slow.. my mom's lincoln took it on and well beat it. BUT also the thing was that he got like 6 tickets with like 3 citations in em EACH and he finally stopped driving it.
