Ford GT w/custom Legend Lime paint!

Decided to take an '05 Mustang color scheme and apply it to a Polar Lights Ford GT. I stripped the blue/white GT in 99% alcohol and repainted it in Cobra Colors Legend Lime. Kit stripes are EVIL :shakehead and I suggest painting them instead. The one between the nose and the windshield was so bad I removed it (grrrr...) and painted it. The area over the decklid grilles was no joy. I could have masked/painted them in 1/4 the time. The other decals were easy, but any that must conform won't work w/the normal decal solvents, tricks, voodoo, whatever. Fun kit otherwise, I like these quick-build kits, lots of detail/bang for the buck and look good w/normal paint detailing techniques.
Wheels are from an old AMT GT90 concept car snap kit.
Fotki's having issues now. The red X should go away soon. We hope.

Bob, you are a machine!
That looks great on the GT as do the wheels, but I had always thought the GT90 was a prelude to this incarnation.
That looks great.

Thanks for the comments  .
As Veyron pointed out, my studio shots fail to capture the color (I don't edit the photos). While close, they're off sometimes. This color is hard to capture.
So here it is outdoors (you can even see the interior and the Tamiya Light Sand seats  ):

I like that color a lot. With that choice of rims, you've made the best looking GT I've seen around. Much more interesting than red, or black, or...

Yeah! Those outdoor shots are so much better in more than just the color.

Nice Photoshop…. err…. pictures…. just kidding! A medieval torture rack looks easier than the decals on the grill.

I love it.... That color is perfecr on that car. The outside pics show the color much better, they look great.
I'll think I'll take your advice and paint the stripes on mine when I build it.

The car looks great, and I like the color...but, maybe it's the light or whatever, but isn't Legend Lime supposed to be kinda green?

Must be the screen, that was a problem w/my old monitor. While Legend Lime isn't the brightest green around by any stretch, it is green, and my model looks very much like my outdoor shots color-wise, at least on this monitor.

wow, that looks great! legend lime looks better on the ford GT than on the new mustang...
i wonder if ford (or any other manufacturer for that matter) ever thought of getting color ideas from this board.. i mean they get to see their cars in any color you could imagine, with no testing cost to them........
